ALL THE QUESTIONS
Shipping cost depends on origin, destination, service, package weight, and other considerations. Calculate Time and Cost helps you compare delivery times and published rates for sending DCS shipments to destinations around the world.
The DCS Tracking page can provide up-to-date information on your shipment location.
Your package is still within the DCS network and, unless otherwise noted, should be delivered on the scheduled delivery date. Shipment movement information is captured each time a tracking label is scanned in the DCS delivery system. There may be several days between scans if the shipment is going cross-country or moving between countries.
If your shipment is expected to be in transit for more than a day between tracking scans, we will display the day and date of the Next Expected Tracking Event in the Shipment Progress area. This message does not mean that your shipment is behind schedule or stopped moving; it simply means that the tracking label might not be scanned for a while. We display the Next Expected Tracking Event so you can rest assured that your shipment is still moving even though no new tracking scans may appear for a while.
Many shippers distribute tracking numbers to their customers prior to the electronic information being sent to DCS. Once the sender transmits their daily electronic information to DCS, you will be able to track your package. Some shippers do this as late as the next working day. Please continue to track your package here:

If the tracking number still shows as invalid after one working day, please contact the sender to verify that the item has been shipped. Until DCS shows an origin scan on your package on defensecourierservice.com, we do not have any information on your package.
Origin Scan: DCS has your package and it is being processed for delivery.
Departure Scan: Your package has left this facility and will not be handled again until you see a 'destination scan'. Depending on various factors, such as how far your package is travelling and if it is in transit over a weekend, it could be several days until your package is handled again.
Out for delivery: Your package is loaded on the vehicle and will be delivered today. Residential packages could be delivered as late as 8 p.m.
Exception: Your package was impacted by an unforeseen event. DCS is currently working to resolve the issue and will update the tracking information when the exception is resolved. defensecourierservice.com will continue to show the most up-to-date information while the issue is being resolved.

The service that the sender chose for your package is a service in which DCS moves your package to the destination area and then gives the package to the US Post Office for final delivery to your location. Please note that once DCS has handed over your package to the US Post Office, there are no further updates that we can provide on the status of your package, nor can we make any changes to the delivery address. If you need to change the address of the package or want to upgrade to a different service, you will need to contact the sender of the package.

If your shipment failed to arrive, it is important that you contact customer service with an accurate description of the goods and their packaging as soon as possible. Our “found shipment centers” hold on to items that were not properly addressed or that became detached from their packaging. It is possible that they will be able to reunite you with your shipment. If this fails, please contact customer servicecontact customer service to file a report.
Please note that damage to goods in transit is frequently the result of inadequate packaging.
Due to the size of the door openings on our vans and planes, we ask that a shipment does not exceed 120 cm in dimension. We will be pleased to advise and arrange carriage of any larger items for you. In addition, for the safety of our couriers, we require notification of shipments over 50kg in weight.
You will have to discuss this with the vendor. It depends on the type of commodity you are purchasing, the value of the goods, how the vendor labels them for customs purposes and what country you are importing them into. If customs imposes a charge DCS will pay this in the first instance, however you are advised to pay this, whether or not you accept delivery of the goods.
Absolutely! DCS has unrivalled experience of international shipping. Please contact DCS Salescontact DCS Sales to discuss your needs.
Please be aware that when purchasing goods via internet sites, some or all of these goods may not originate in your home country. When goods are not sent domestically or within a single customs union, you are liable to pay any inbound duties and taxes which your local Customs authority deems appropriate. Duties and taxes are most typically not included in the price of the goods you purchase online.
DCS pays the Customs authority on your behalf any duties and taxes that are due on the goods, when they enter the country. This simple process ensures that our courier can deliver your goods in shortest possible transit time. Please note that we only release the goods to you upon the full repayment of any duties and taxes that were paid on your behalf.
